Asteroid Alert

This is a scientific application that simulates the solar system dynamics using the information provided by the NASA NEO Program. The Near Earth objects and objects close to other planets will be reported in real time. The advanced graphical interface allows you to monitor the orbits of celestial bodies as a function of the elapsed time.

X rays and protons emitted by Sun are also notified to have a complete view of the dangers from space.

FOR PRACTICAL REASONS

● The maximum resolution is achieved for asteroids that are less than 0.1 AU from the planets. The application photographs the situation on the current date and simulates events that will occur in the future or have occurred in the past.

● The number of asteroids plotted in the asteroid belt is only a fraction of the real number.

● The asteroids not yet included in the NASA NEO database may not be notified.

● X rays and protons levels are processed and saved continuously. The solar activity indicated as a significant event, has been inferred through the Statistical analysis of about 6 months of data sampling. The prediction will be improved with the increasing of data amount.

NOTIFICATION CRITERIA:

● With the exception of the first notification, new notifications will be generated only if NEOs are approaching. The distance of the NEO to the planet must be at least 10% lower than that reported in the previous notification.

● NEO notifications have priority over solar notifications except for powerful events.

Il s'agit d'une application scientifique qui simule la dynamique du système solaire à l'aide des informations fournies par le programme NEO de la NASA. Les objets proches de la Terre et les objets proches des autres planètes seront rapportés en temps réel. L'interface graphique avancée vous permet de surveiller les orbites des corps célestes en fonction du temps écoulé.

Les rayons X et les protons émis par Sun doivent également disposer d'une vue complète des dangers de l'espace.

POUR DES RAISONS PRATIQUES

● La résolution maximale est atteinte pour les astéroïdes de moins de 0,1 UA des planètes. L'application photographie la situation à la date du jour et simule des événements qui se produiront dans le futur ou se sont produits dans le passé.

● Le nombre d'astéroïdes représentés dans la ceinture d'astéroïdes ne représente qu'une fraction du nombre réel.

● Les astéroïdes non encore inclus dans la base de données NASA NEO peuvent ne pas être notifiés.

● Les niveaux de rayons X et de protons sont traités et enregistrés en permanence. L’activité solaire indiquée comme un événement significatif a été déduite de l’analyse statistique d’environ six mois d’échantillonnage de données. La prévision sera améliorée avec l'augmentation de la quantité de données.

CRITÈRES DE NOTIFICATION:

● À l'exception de la première notification, les nouvelles notifications ne seront générées que si les NEO approchent. La distance entre le NEO et la planète doit être inférieure d’au moins 10% à celle indiquée dans la notification précédente.

● Les notifications NEO ont priorité sur les notifications solaires sauf pour les événements puissants.
